79th Independence Day: CM Dhami honors freedom fighters’ families, police officers & athletes

Dehradun. On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the National Flag at the state-level main function organized at Parade Ground, Dehradun. On this occasion, he honored the family members of freedom fighters and also visited a photo exhibition depicting the freedom struggle.

During the program, the Chief Minister felicitated Additional Director General of Police Ajay Prakash Anshuman with the President’s Distinguished Service Medal. Based on service, the Chief Minister’s Commendable Service Medal was awarded to Shweta Chaubey (Commandant, IRB Second Dehradun), Yogesh Chandra (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Vipin Chandra Pathak (Inspector, Civil Police), Narendra Singh Bisht (Inspector, Civil Police), Rakesh Chandra Bhatt (Sub-Inspector, Civil Police), Ajay Prakash Semwal (Leading Fireman), and Sunit Kumar (Head Constable).

For outstanding work, the Chief Minister’s Commendable Service Medal was conferred upon Shekhar Chandra Suyal (Additional Superintendent of Police), Rajendra Singh Kholiya (Inspector, Civil Police), Kailash Chandra Bhatt (Inspector, Civil Police), Manohar Singh Rawat (Sub-Inspector, Civil Police), Omkant Bhushan (Sub-Inspector, Civil Police), Deepak Kumar (Assistant Sub-Inspector, Civil Police), Gopal Ram (Head Constable), Amarjeet (Constable), and Rahul (Constable).

In addition, Chief Minister Dhami also felicitated sportspersons who have excelled in various games, including Priya Rana, Manisha Chauhan, Rahul Sarnaliya, Amisha Chauhan, Visham Kashyap, Amit Belwal, and Mahak Chauhan.
