CM Dhami participated in the Dussehra festival organized at Parade Ground Dehradun on Saturday and Tamli, (Talladesh) Champawat on Sunday. 

Dussehra is a festival symbolizing the victory of truth over falsehood, religion over unreligion and justice over injustice: CM Dhami.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Dussehra Mahotsav program at Parade Ground Dehradun on Saturday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister greeted thousands of people and wished them a Happy Dussehra.

CM Dhami said that Dussehra is a festival symbolizing the victory of truth over falsehood, religion over unreligion and justice over injustice. Dussehra is an invaluable part of our cultural heritage. He said that this festival reminds us of the end of arrogant and unrighteous people like Ravana and the qualities of the ideal life of Lord Rama. By following the path of truth, religion and justice, good always wins over evil. He said that due to arrogance, Raavan and his Lanka were burnt to ashes.

The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Dussehra festival, we all have to take a pledge to abandon the evils within us and follow the path of truth, religion and humanity. He said that Lord Rama is such an ideal person who is worshipped as a symbol of sacrifice, dedication, justice, compassion and duty. Despite being a prince, he lived in the forest, faced many difficulties and formed his army and conquered Lanka. His ideal life teaches us to follow our principles and words even in adverse circumstances.

Dhami said that there are many places in Uttarakhand which have witnessed events related to Lord Rama, Mata Sita, Laxman and Hanuman. Lord Hanuman brought Sanjeevani from Dronagiri mountain in Chamoli district. The place of penance of Lord Rama’s family guru Vashishtha is also located in Rishikesh. He said that Ram Leelas are held in every corner of the state. The preservation of our cultural heritage and traditions makes us united and strong.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work has been done to revive cultural values ​​by building a grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. He said that soon the state government is going to build Uttarakhand State Guest House on the holy land of Ayodhya. The state government has renamed the Paulgarh Wildlife Sanctuary as “Sitawani Wildlife Sanctuary” in the name of Mother Sita. He said that the state government is fully committed to keeping the divine form of Uttarakhand safe. He said that no kind of demographic change will be tolerated in the state. The eternal form of this holy land will remain safe forever and the purity, cultural and religious heritage of Uttarakhand will always be protected.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Khajan Das, MLA Savita Kapoor, Santosh Nagpal, Gagan Sethi, Neha Joshi, Puneet Mittal, Ashok Verma and others were present.

Appeal to migrant Uttarakhandis: “Come back to your village”

On Sunday, CM Dhami participated in the Dussehra festival organized in Tamli, (Talladesh) Champawat. On this occasion, CM Dhami made various announcements for the development of Tamli, (Talladesh) area. Which includes the announcement of giving Rs. 15 lakh from MLA fund for construction of motor road from Tamli to Polp- Rupaligad, construction work of lift drinking water scheme for permanent solution of drinking water problem in Tamli area, release of funds as per the prepared proposal for beautification of Dussehra Festival Fair Site Tamli, flood protection works to be done at Rankochi temple, providing ambulance facility of Emergency Service 108 at Tamli, improvement of Bakoda border horse route, taking appropriate action for construction of motor bridge connecting Satkula.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid obeisance to Baba Gorakhnath and wished Vijayadashami to all the residents of the region. He said that he is feeling very happy to come to Tamli area. He is overwhelmed by the blessings and blessings given by the people of the region. He said that the area of ​​Champawat and Pithoragarh is adjacent to Nepal. We have Roti-beti relations with Nepal. In this region, we get a glimpse of the joint culture of India and Nepal on one platform. It is a synonym for our mutual friendship, love, emotion. Dhami said that this festival works to revive our cultural heritage. It also works to introduce the new generation to our culture. We have to keep our coming generation also connected to the culture here. For which our folk artists and young generation are working. Artists are continuously contributing to preserve the culture with their talents. He said that two days before the State Foundation Day, a conference will be organized to call the migrant Uttarakhandis to Uttarakhand. In the conference, we will appeal to them “Come back to your villages” and cooperate in the development of Uttarakhand. He said that our government is doing a good job in the field of reducing migration.

The Chief Minister said that there are immense possibilities in the field of employment in Uttarakhand. The state government has given 30% reservation to the women of Uttarakhand by bringing a bill in the Legislative Assembly. Along with this, the state government has also made strict laws like anti-copying and anti-conversion. He said that Uttarakhand is not a land for outsiders who commit crimes. On the topic of upcoming Uttarakhand State Formation Day, the Chief Minister spoke about implementing the Uniform Citizenship Code (UCC) law. He said that Uttarakhand would be the first state in the country to implement UCC.

CM Dhami said that even if the state government has to take the toughest decisions in the interest of the state, it will be taken. He said that our government is committed to make Uttarakhand the best state in the country and for this we are constantly moving forward. He urged everyone to stay connected with their culture. He also called upon the people living outside the village, not to leave their dialect, language, customs because our culture and customs make us familiar. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, work has been done to take the country and the state forward in the field of tourism, religion and culture. India is again moving forward to become a world leader. Our government is taking its schemes to every person sitting at the last end.
