Construction of pink and general toilets will start soon at seven main locations.
Dehradun. With the initiative to provide convenient facilities to the people in the city, so that the people commuting, especially women, do not face any kind of problem, District Magistrate Savin Bansal recently had toured the city on a motorcycle with Senior Superintendent of Police and related officials to assess and ensure proper arrangements in this regard. During the inspection, he had selected locations for pink and general toilets in the markets and other locations in the city. The construction of pink and general toilets will start at seven main locations in Dehradun.
The government has approved the proposal of DM for the construction of pink and general toilets in the markets. Financial approval of Rs 1.609 crore has been obtained from the government for the construction of these facilities in Paltan Bazaar and other places of Dehradun city.
The selected locations for pink and general toilet facilities include space near:
Ramesh Book Depot (Pink toilet),
Dispensary Road Parking (Pink toilet),
Raja Road-2 (Urinal),
Gaylord Shoes (Urinal),
Rajiv Gandhi Complex (Pink toilet),
Tehsil Chowk Parking (Male and Female toilet) and
Under Ballupur Chowk Flyover (Male and Female toilet)
