PANTNAGAR: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the ’17th Krishi Vigyan Sammelan’ organized at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology on Friday. He said that it is a matter of pride that this prestigious conference is being organized in the holy land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand with the aim of ensuring modernization of the agriculture sector and upliftment of farmers. Through such conferences, on the one hand, farmers get an opportunity to know about the latest techniques related to agriculture, research results and best seeds and fertilizers etc., on the other hand, through various stalls set up here, they also get important guidance from subject experts about other methods of agriculture like horticulture, animal husbandry and organic farming. He congratulated Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology for successfully organizing such an important and prestigious conference of the agricultural world.
