CM Dhami Promotes ‘Adopt Swadeshi’ Campaign, Spreads Awareness on New GST Rates in Dehradun.

Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday visited the Kunawala market in Dehradun as part of a public awareness drive on the ‘Adopt Swadeshi’ campaign and the recently revised GST rates. During his market tour, he interacted with shopkeepers and local residents, highlighting the benefits of using indigenous products and explaining the key features of the new tax rates.

The Chief Minister emphasized that adopting Swadeshi products is a significant step towards building a self-reliant India. He said it not only strengthens local artisans and small industries but also generates new employment opportunities for the youth. Appealing to citizens, Dhami urged them to increasingly use indigenous items in daily life and reduce dependence on foreign goods.

Speaking on the revised GST rates, he said the objective of these changes is to make the taxation system simpler and more convenient for the common people as well as businesses. He asserted that a transparent and simplified tax framework will accelerate the state’s economy.

CM Dhami added that public awareness and active participation are key to ensuring the success of the ‘Adopt Swadeshi’ movement, which in turn will make Uttarakhand’s economy stronger.

On this occasion, MLA Brijbhushan Gairola along with several public representatives and officials were also present.
