In the first phase, 22 high-tech CCTV cameras will be installed at 15 identified locations.
IP Public Address system and 15 outdoor speakers will be installed along with 22 CCTV cameras at 15 main locations from Paltan Bazaar to Dhamawala. ₹5,03,860/- has been released for the equipments.
Earlier, DM had given instructions to install CCTV cameras during inspection in view of the safety of traders, women and visitors in Paltan Bazaar. An amount of 12 lakhs was released to the police department in this regard.

On 30 October, DM Savin Bansal issued instructions to install 22 CCTV cameras along with IP Public Address system and 15 outdoor speakers along with accompanying equipments at 15 main locations from Paltan Bazaar to Dhamawala in Dehradun. For this, an amount of ₹5,03,860/- has also been released. The payment of the amount has been sent to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun through cheque.
Earlier also, DM Savin Bansal had directed the police department to submit a proposal for installing CCTV cameras in Paltan Bazaar. As soon as the proposal was submitted by the police department, the District Magistrate had released an amount of ₹12,05,606.
It may be recalled that in view of the safety of traders, women and visitors in Paltan Bazaar, the traders were demanding installation of CCTV cameras for a long time.
