Char Dham Yatra 2025: The date of opening of Kedarnath Dham portals has been fixed on the day of Shivaratri. In this regard, the BKTC meeting held at Ukhimath, the winter abode of Baba Kedarnath, in the presence of Kedarnath Rawal and others. 2 May has been declared as the date of opening of portals of Kedarnath Dham this year.
Bhairav Puja will be held on 27th April in Omkareshwar temple. After this, Baba Kedar Doli will depart for Kedarnath Dham. After resting in Guptkashi on 28th April, Panchmukhi Doli will reach Kedar Dham on 1st May 2025. The portals of Kedarnath Dham will be opened on the next day i.e. 2 May 2025 at 7 am.
It may be recalled that this year the portals of Badrinath Dham will be opened on 4th May at 6 am. The Tel Kalash Yatra will start from Narendra Nagar Palace on 22nd April. According to the tradition, the date of opening of the portals of Badrinath Dham was decided after Panchag calculation on Vasant Panchami in Narendra Nagar Palace of Tehri district.
