CM Dhami extends wishes to state people on 78th Independence Day. Makes 08 big announcements from Parade Ground Dehradun

Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the flag at the main event of the state at Parade Ground Dehradun on the occasion of 78th Independence Day. CM Dhami congratulated and wished all the people of the state on Independence Day. On this occasion, he made 08 announcements in the interest of the state.

1. In every district, one local body will be developed as an ideal body.

2. Farmers and entrepreneurs doing excellent work in the field of industry, horticulture and agriculture will be awarded a sum of one lakh, 75 thousand and 50 thousand respectively as first, second and third prize.

3. Employee Personal Loan Scheme will be implemented for regular employees of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Divyang and Other Backward Classes.

4. The monthly income currently fixed in Old Age Pension Scheme, Widow Pension Scheme, Divyang Pension Scheme, Grant Scheme for Children with Disabilities from Birth and Abandoned Pension Scheme will be increased from 4000 to 6000 per month.

5. To connect the youth with self-employment, the subject matter of training under Skill Development Scheme will be decided by the District Skill Development Committee in accordance with local requirements.

6. A policy will be formulated for the overall welfare of senior citizens.

7. To stop migration from the hilly areas of the state and to promote trout fish production, a scheme of Rs. 200 crore will be started in the Fisheries Department under the “Mukhyamantri Matsya Sampada Yojana”.

8. With the aim of providing modern veterinary services to the livestock farmers of the state, one model veterinary hospital will be established in each district at a cost of Rs. 75 crore, which will provide security to the livestock of about 11 lakh livestock families.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is not only Devbhoomi but also Veerbhoomi. To honor the sacrifice and bravery of those heroes, we have to take a pledge that we will ensure our contribution to make Uttarakhand and India developed. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today India is moving forward on the path of continuous progress. Today, removal of Article 370 from Kashmir, declaring the practice of triple talaq illegal, construction of a grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, abolition of laws that have been in place since the British era, all this have been possible only because of the strong leadership of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has pledged to make India a developed nation by 15 August 2047, the 100th anniversary of India’s independence. To fulfill this pledge, our government is also taking many important steps for the overall development of the state.

The Chief Minister said that according to the report released by NITI Aayog this year, Uttarakhand secured the first position in the SDG Index ranking. The state is included in the category of Achievers in the category of Ease of Doing Business and Leader in the Startup Ranking. Uttarakhand has become the first state in India to prepare an index of Gross Environment Product (GEP) and assess ecosystem growth. Uttarakhand will be the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has taken many unprecedented decisions like giving three gas cylinders to Antyodaya families, implementing the system of 30 percent horizontal reservation for the women of the state, re-starting sports quota in government jobs and giving scholarships to the students of the state pursuing higher education. Along with this, laws have been implemented in the state to stop forced conversion, land jihad and love jihad, the country’s strictest anti-copying law and strict anti-riot law. The state government is continuously working keeping in mind the mantra of simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction. Because of  the transparent system of Apni Sarkar Portal, e-Cabinet, e-Office, CM Helpline, Right to Service and Transfer Act, there has been qualitative improvement in the work culture. In the direction of ending corruption, more than 100 people have been sent to jail so far through the complaints received on 1064. The Chief Minister said that the state government has started the “Mukhyamantri Ekal Mahila Sashaktikaran Swarojgar Yojana” and “Lakhpati Didi Yojana”. In the last 3 years, the state government has given employment to more than 15 thousand youth in government departments. “Sainya Dham” is being established as the fifth Dham in the state. The lump sum grant amount payable to the soldiers awarded with gallantry medals has been increased, while a government job has also been ensured to one member from the family of martyred soldiers. The financial assistance currently given to the dependent families of martyred soldiers has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. Work is going on at a fast pace on the plan to establish a medical college in every district. Under the Ayushman Uttarakhand scheme, Ayushman cards of more than sixty lakh people have been made, under which more than ten lakh patients have been treated free of cost so far.

The Chief Minister said that our government is committed to the welfare of farmers. Farmers are being given a bonus of Rs 20 per quintal on wheat purchase in the state. The price of sugarcane has been increased by Rs 20 per quintal. A target has also been set to double the millet production by the year 2025. To promote organic farming, work has been started in about four and a half thousand organic clusters. A plan has been made for vegetable and flower cultivation in cluster-based small polyhouses in the state.

The Chief Minister said that players are also being encouraged by implementing the new sports policy in Uttarakhand. Players who have won medals in the Olympic Games and players who have participated in the Olympic Games and won medals in the World Championship, World Cup, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games are being appointed on direct recruitment posts. Cabinet approval has been received to open a sports university in the state.

The Chief Minister said that last year, MoUs worth Rs 3.56 lakh crore were signed at the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, out of which work has started on projects worth more than Rs 75 thousand crore so far. The Chief Minister said that under the Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024, a subsidy of up to two crores will also be given on the shooting of regional films. Along with the launch of “Ek Janpad Do Utpadan Yojana” in the state, the “House of Himalayas Brand” has been started. The “Home Stay Scheme” started to boost the rural economy is proving to be a boon. The Chief Minister said that to increase connectivity in the state, we are continuously working on the expansion of rail, road and ropeway. The dream of connecting every village to the highway and reaching the mountains by rail is going to be realized soon through the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project. Ropeway has been started at Siddhpeeth Surkanda Devi Temple. The foundation stone of Gaurikund-Kedarnath and Govind Ghat-Hemkunt Sahib ropeways has been laid, work on which will begin soon. Under the Parvatmala project, the process of Ranibagh to Nainital, Panch Koti to New Tehri, Khaliatop to Munsiyari, Neelkanth, Auli to Gaursu ropeway and Purnagiri temple ropeway projects is also in progress.

He said that the state government is continuously working towards strengthening the network of air services in the state. Along with operating heli services at various places within the state, Jolly Grant and Pantnagar airports are being developed at international level. The Chief Minister said that pilgrimage and tourism is a major pillar of the state’s economy, a “new tourism policy” has been brought to strengthen it. In the last cabinet meeting, “Uttarakhand Tourism Entrepreneur Incentive Scheme” has been approved. Under which a provision of subsidy of Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore has been made for tourism projects costing less than Rs 5 crore.

The Chief Minister said that we are working rapidly on Kedarkhand and Manaskhand Mandirmala Mission. Along with the Haridwar-Rishikesh corridor, the process of building the Sharda corridor is also in progress. 100 percent electrification of all villages in the state has been done. Many schemes are being worked on to promote solar energy, in which the “Mukhyamantri Solar Swarojgar Yojana” is prominent. Under this, subsidy of up to 70 percent is being given. Under the new solar energy policy, 1000 villages identified by UREDA are being made solar villages. The target is to produce 2000 MW electricity by 2025 and 4000 MW electricity by 2027 through solar power plants.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Lok Sabha MP Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President  Mahendra Bhatt, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, District Panchayat Chairperson  Madhu Chauhan, MLA Khajan Das, Chief Secretary  Radha Raturi, DGP Abhinav Kumar, public representatives, senior government and police officers were present.
