CM Launches 125-Day Multipurpose Camp Drive for Rural Welfare
Dehradun – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Social Welfare Multipurpose Camp Chariot from his Camp Office on Monday, marking the beginning of a large-scale outreach initiative aimed at extending the benefits of government welfare schemes to the underprivileged.
The Chief Minister informed that the specially designated chariot would travel across the state to facilitate 240 multipurpose camps in rural areas over the next 125 days. Through these camps, beneficiaries will be able to access both central and state government welfare schemes without delay.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, CM Dhami said that the camps will serve as a direct bridge between the government and the people, ensuring that issues at the village panchayat and block levels are resolved on the spot. He directed all District Magistrates to personally monitor the camps and ensure the prompt delivery of benefits and services in the presence of senior district officials.
The multipurpose camps are designed to provide quick solutions to grievances, create awareness about welfare schemes, and extend on-the-spot assistance in areas such as pensions, scholarships, health benefits, and social security programs.
On this occasion, several dignitaries were present, including Deshraj Karnawal, Vice Chairman of the Social Welfare Monitoring Committee; Shobharam Prajapati, Vice Chairman of the Mati Kala Board; former MLA Pranav Champion; and other public representatives, who lauded the government’s effort to bring welfare schemes to the doorstep of rural citizens.
