CM Dhami listens to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at residence, calls Prime Minister’s messages inspirational

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday listened to the 123rd edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program at his official residence. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the Prime Minister had inspired the nation by addressing vital themes such as yoga, social unity, spirit of service, and women empowerment.

The Chief Minister highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has gained a new identity on the global stage. Referring to the International Yoga Day celebrated on June 21, he remarked that yoga has established its distinct presence not just in India but across the world. He also expressed pride in India being declared trachoma-free by the World Health Organization and noted that, as per the International Labor Organization report, 64% of India’s population is now covered under social security schemes. These, he said, were significant achievements in the health and social security sectors under the Prime Minister’s able leadership.

The Chief Minister further appreciated the emphasis in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on collective service, the unifying spirit of religious pilgrimages, and the encouragement to promote local products. He described the program as a true embodiment of the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ and urged the people of Uttarakhand to incorporate the Prime Minister’s messages into their daily lives, contributing to a self-reliant and prosperous India.

On the occasion, MLA Rajkumar Pori, Chairman of the Uttarakhand State Advisory Labor Contract Board Kailash Pant, along with officers and staff of the Chief Minister’s Office, were present.
