Pothole-Free Roads Campaign: CM Dhami Reviews PWD Works, Sets Deadline

CM Dhami Orders Speedy Completion of Construction Projects, Sets October 31 Deadline for Pothole-Free Roads. 

Dehradun, Tuesday – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while chairing a high-level meeting today at his residence, instructed officials to accelerate the pace of ongoing construction works and new development projects across Uttarakhand. He emphasized that with the conclusion of the monsoon season, all departments must shift into action mode and ensure that projects move swiftly on the ground.

During a detailed review of the Public Works Department (PWD), the Chief Minister directed officials to make all state roads pothole-free within the stipulated timeline. He made it clear that any negligence in road construction, maintenance, or repair would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The Chief Minister further stated that damaged roads should be reconstructed or repaired on a priority basis. Special monitoring must be ensured in areas where road-related complaints are more frequent, while strict attention should be given to the quality of work. He directed that the Pothole-Free Roads Campaign be reviewed on a weekly basis, and all patchwork must be completed by October 31, 2025.

Underscoring his government’s commitment to providing better connectivity and smooth travel to citizens, CM Dhami said that the campaign is not only about road repair but also about restoring public confidence in the efficiency of government works.

The review meeting was attended by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Dr. Pankaj Pandey, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari.
