Dehradun – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated the State government’s zero-tolerance policy against the copying mafia, asserting that those involved in attempts to sabotage the recruitment process will not be spared. He said that vested interests are conspiring to malign the credibility of Uttarakhand’s recruitment examinations, but such efforts will fail.
The CM was addressing the gathering at the launch of a new weekly newspaper in Dehradun on Monday.
Highlighting the government’s efforts, Dhami said that when he took charge as Chief Minister on July 4, 2021, nearly 22,000 posts were vacant across various State departments. “Through our sustained efforts, more than 25,000 youths have been provided government jobs. Importantly, not a single case of cheating has been reported in these recruitments,” he said.
The CM underlined that Uttarakhand has enacted one of the most stringent anti-copying laws in the country to ensure transparent and fair recruitment. “This law has angered some people, and in retaliation, they are trying to defame the government. Another such attempt was made on Sunday. Though it was not a case of paper leak, certain copying and coaching mafias are conspiring against us, and their nexus will be exposed soon,” he said.
Dhami expressed confidence that the coming years would be marked by political stability and rapid development in Uttarakhand. “The people of the State have chosen stability and progress, and the future of Uttarakhand will be defined by these values,” he said.
Speaking on the recent natural disasters, the CM pointed out that the entire Himalayan region has been impacted this year. He said that the government has been reaching out to the affected families to share their grief and provide timely support. “We are working closely with scientific institutions in Uttarakhand to identify the causes of disasters, gather advance warnings, and minimize damage in the future,” he added.
