CM flags off first batch of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Tanakpur

Tanakpur (Champawat): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday flagged off the first batch of pilgrims embarking on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from the Tourist Rest House at Tanakpur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended a traditional welcome to the pilgrims and presented them with souvenirs reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.

Welcoming devotees who had come from 11 different states, the Chief Minister said that the journey to Kailash Mansarovar is not merely a religious ritual but a path to spiritual awakening and inner realization. He remarked that every particle of the sacred land of Uttarakhand is imbued with the presence of Lord Shiva. Owing to the visionary leadership and firm resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this pilgrimage has transcended geographical boundaries and become a powerful medium for devotees to experience divinity. “What once took over seven days to complete can now be accomplished in just a few hours,” he said.

The Chief Minister assured that the Uttarakhand government is fully committed to making this journey smooth, safe, and convenient. Robust arrangements have been made at every stop to ensure health facilities, lodging, food, security, and all essential services so that pilgrims face no inconvenience. He prayed to Lord Shiva for a successful, auspicious, and safe pilgrimage for all the devotees.

The pilgrims, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warmth and hospitality of the people of Champawat and appreciated the excellent arrangements made by the Uttarakhand government to make the journey memorable and secure.

The event was attended by Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat, IG ITBP and Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Public Relations Officer Sanjay Gunjiyal, IG Kumaon Range Riddhim Aggarwal, MD Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam Vineet Tomar, Champawat District Magistrate Manish Kumar, Pithoragarh District Magistrate Vinod Goswami, Champawat SP Ajay Ganpati, along with other officials.
