CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Registration Office cum Transit Camp for Char Dham devotees in Rishikesh on 17 May. He also inaugurated a CC Road constructed as ‘Aastha Path’ from Dhalwala Bridge to the Bus station on the right bank of the Chandrabhaga River. CM Dhami inspected all the work done for the convenience of Char Dham pilgrims at the Transit Camp.
On this occasion, Dhami also inspected the Hospital, Registration Office, Inquiry Counter and Help Centre at the Transit Camp and reviewed all the arrangements there. During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the officers that all arrangements should be made for the convenience of the pilgrims. They should be treated with courtesy, he stressed.
CM Dhami interacted with the devotees who had come for the Char Dham Yatra from different states and enquired about their problems related to the yatra. Welcoming them to Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister said that efforts have been made by the state government to provide all possible facilities and to ensure that they do not have to face any unnecessary inconvenience. He also extended best wishes ‘A safe and auspicious Yatra’ to all the Char Dham devotees.
Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj and Prem Chand Agarwal, Member of Parliament Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Mayor Rishikesh, Anita Mamgai, Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar, IG, Gahrwal, KS Nagnyal and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
