No new work be allowed until already dug up roads are not repaired:DM

Responsibility fixed for pipeline leakage and repair. Jal Sansthan will do this work.

Immediately improve the road after construction work, only then permission for new works will be given

DM Savin Bansal said this in a meeting held with the working agencies in Rishiparna Auditorium on 21 September.

Taking the complaints of incomplete construction and potholes, water leakage seriously, the District Magistrate called a meeting of the concerned officials. Action will be taken on digging the road without permission. The DM clubbed the permission process of all construction works. The public will get complete information about the name of the working agency working in their area and the time limit of the work.

The District Magistrate has fixed the responsibility of Jal Sansthan for pipeline leakage and repair in the district. For this work, the DM has taken a new initiative. Due to which the departments will not be able to complain about the lack of budget. The District Magistrate has simplified the permission of construction works. Now, under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, the officers of the concerned departments like police, traffic police, PWD etc. will be able to take decisions on the same table.

The District Magistrate said that permission for new works will be given only after the incomplete construction works are completed, with the condition of completing them in a time bound manner. The District Magistrate expressed his displeasure at the blaming each other for the delay in road improvement in the meeting and directed the departments to work in mutual coordination. He said that the departments should participate in the next meeting with complete details and work plan.

The District Magistrate directed the officers to work in mutual coordination. He directed the Public Works Department officials to coordinate with the concerned departments and submit area wise details for permission of construction works. He also directed all the implementing agencies to submit work details to PWD for permission of construction works, on which permission for road digging has to be taken. He directed Jal Sansthan and Drinking Water Corporation to complete the JJM works in a time bound manner. The District Magistrate gave permission for the remaining 150 meters of work of Raipur Road Sewer Line. He also gave instructions to complete the work in a time bound manner and improve the road.

Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Jai Bharat Singh, Superintending Engineer (Water Institute) Namit Ramola, Superintending Engineer (PWD), Superintending Engineer (PWD) Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, Superintending Engineer (Electricity), officers of UUSDA, BSNL, Smart City and officers and personnel of all other related implementing agencies were present in the meeting.
