Dehradun DM’s prompt action: Private school issues TC same day, elderly woman’s water problem resolved immediately

Dehradun, July 12: Under the leadership of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, the Dehradun district administration is swiftly addressing citizens’ grievances, thereby reinforcing public trust in governance.

During a public hearing on Wednesday, a woman named Anshu Saraswat complained that Wonder Year Academy was refusing to issue her son’s Transfer Certificate (TC) despite his admission to another school. Acting immediately, DM Savin Bansal directed the Chief Education Officer via WhatsApp and phone to ensure the TC was issued the same day. Facing administrative pressure, the school promptly complied. The administration also sent a clear warning that schools flouting norms could face closure.

In another case, Joginder Kaur, an elderly resident of Tehsil Chowk Gandhi Road, reported that her allotted house had not received drinking water for 4-5 months, forcing her to fetch water from hotels. The DM ordered an Action Taken Report (ATR) from Jal Sansthan on the spot, and arranged for a water tanker to her street the same day. It was found that low pressure was due to three families sharing a single connection; Jal Sansthan assured a separate connection for her household.

Significantly, DM Savin Bansal personally hears over 40 complaints every working day, ensuring prompt redressal and strengthening public confidence in the administration.
