DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will celebrate Seva Diwas on 23 March to mark the completion of three years of the present administration. In a virtual meeting from Delhi, CM Dhami instructed officials to organize various programs across the state from March 22 to 25, ensuring public participation in these events.
The Chief Minister emphasized that March 23 should be dedicated to public service, with multipurpose service camps being organized at the development block level. These camps will include health check-ups and the distribution of medical equipment to the needy, along with benefits from various government schemes. Public representatives will also be involved in addressing public concerns.
Despite being on a visit to Delhi, CM Dhami stated that his commitment to the state’s development remains steadfast. He urged the inclusion of people from all sections of society in the anniversary celebrations and emphasized showcasing success stories of individuals making commendable contributions in different fields.
Reflecting on the government’s achievements over the past three years, CM Dhami highlighted key initiatives and decisions aimed at the state’s progress. These include the implementation of historic laws such as the Uniform Civil Code and strict anti-copying measures, which have given Uttarakhand a distinct identity at the national level. Additionally, for the first time, the state budget has exceeded Rs 1 lakh crore, marking a significant step toward economic strengthening.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to focus on the revival and enhancement of natural water sources, including canals, wells, and streams, in preparation for the summer season. Ensuring an adequate supply of drinking water across the state was identified as a key priority.
The virtual meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretaries Pradeep Pant, L. Fanai, and R. Meenakshi Sundaram, along with DGP Deepam Seth, department heads, Vice President of State Disaster Management Vinay Rohila, Principal Secretaries R.K. Sudhanshu and R.C. Ajay Mishra, and all District Magistrates.
