Chamoli: The district administration has constructed a second alternative route in the disaster-affected Batoli village within just 24 hours. This new route is shorter and more convenient than the earlier one. This swift action was taken following instructions given by District Magistrate Savin Bansal during his inspection.
Acting promptly on the directives of the Chief Minister, the district administration has ensured an immediate response to disaster incidents. Considering the upcoming three months of the monsoon season, the DM has deployed manpower and machinery round-the-clock (24×7) to maintain and repair roads without any delay.
As part of the relief efforts, the administration distributed advance cheques totaling ₹3.84 lakh on the spot to all affected families for rental assistance. Each family will receive ₹4,000 per month to live at a safer location.
DM Savin Bansal emphasized that the administration is working sensitively to support the victims. He instructed officials to reach every doorstep in the village to ensure that no resident faces any difficulty.
Additionally, a temporary helipad will be constructed in Batoli village within the next 15 days, facilitating quick relief and rescue operations in case of emergencies. For the health of pregnant women and infants, ANMs will conduct regular visits to the village.
This prompt action and compassionate initiative by the administration have not only provided much-needed relief to the disaster-hit families of the remote Batoli village but also strengthened their trust in the government.
