DM Savin Bansal conducts Surprise inspection of Govt Hospital, ARTO Rishikesh

Savin Bansal is in full action mode ever since has taken over as District Magistrate. He has been highly proactive and conducting surprice inspections and holding review meetings to ensure timely action on the development front.

Whether it be Doon’s hospital Coronation Hospital or Doon’s heart Clock Tower. Main market Paltan Bazaar or Rajpur Road, Chakrata Road or liquor shops. To bring the system on track, the District Magistrate was found standing in queue many times. He listened to the public by reaching among them. He took many decisions on the spot in public interest. The District Magistrate came to the field many times to correct the chaos spread in government hospitals and departments.

In this sequence, he headed to Rishikesh on Friday, 4 October. DM Savin Bansal reached the hospital by driving the vehicle himself without any kind of prior notice. He got the OPD slip made by standing in the queue.  Thereafter, DM Savin Bansal inspected hospital’s arrangements. After spending half an hour in the hospital, there was a stir among the doctors and medical staff as soon as they got the hint of DM’s presence. The District Magistrate’s reaction to the condition and disorder in the departments was as follows:

Doctors were not found on their seats in the hospital.

Salary of 4 doctors found absent from duty including Chief Medical Superintendent Rishikesh was withheld and instructions were given to register adverse entry.

ICU was locked, ANM was found absent in vaccination room.

Wards were found empty.

Reason was asked when the wards were found empty of patients.

Patients were found lying on the floor in the destitute ward.

DM expressed deep displeasure on patients being made to lie on the floor.

Despite 5 to 6 specialist doctors being posted in the hospital, the wards were empty and the reason was asked when there was no patient in the operation theatre.

Despite being the base hospital of Garhwal, the wards were empty and there were no patients in the hospital, and deep displeasure was expressed on the disorder in the hospital.

Displeasure was expressed on the cleanliness arrangements.

Action of fine of Rs 50,000/- on the concerned cleaning contractor for poor cleanliness arrangements in the hospital.

DM enquired about the patients and their relatives. He asked about the well-being of the patients.

 

ARTO, Rishikesh

DM got furious after seeing the disorder in the ARTO, Rishikesh.

DM got angry on the working attitude of ARTO.

During DM’s inspection in the ARTO Rishikesh, employees were found sitting idle, while people were wandering for their turn.

People who came to the office for their work (for making license and license renewal, vehicle registration etc.) were not being told at which counter the work is to be done.

People were standing outside the office, who had no work with the office, DM gave his sharp reaction on this also, expressed deep displeasure.

District Magistrate Savin Bansal gave instructions to ARTO to improve the working attitude of the personnel in the office.
