Famous Bollywood actor and former BJP MP Paresh Rawal called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Monday, 14 October. He was accompanied by film actor, writer and director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan on the occasion. Paresh Rawal is, at present, participating in the shooting of the Bollywood film ‘Pastt Tense’, directed by Anant Narayan Mahadevan in Dehradun, Rishikesh and Mussoorie of Uttarakhand.
On the occasion of meeting with CM Rawal shared that he has been shooting the film in Uttarakhand for the last 42 days. He said that the state has a very good environment for filming. Full cooperation was received for shooting films from the public as well as government departments. There is a very peaceful environment in the state for shooting. The people of Uttarakhand are also of very positive ideology. He said that he is shooting another film in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami said that there are many destinations for shooting films in Uttarakhand. There are many places associated with natural beauty in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand. Every destination of the state is suitable for filming. Many places like Adi Kailash, Chakrata, Mana are in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Film Policy-2024 has been made in the state. Films in Hindi and languages included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution are being given a grant of 30 percent of the total amount spent in the state or a maximum of Rs 03 crore. Foreign films and films with a budget of more than Rs 50 crore are being given a grant of 30 percent of the amount spent in the state or a maximum of Rs 03 crore. Films in regional languages of the state are being given a grant of up to a maximum of Rs 02 crore of the amount spent in the state. Permission is being given through a single window system for shooting films in the state.
On this occasion, film director Anant Narayan Mahadevan, film producer Anoop Poddar, Aishwarya Meshram, Shivam Yadav, Karthike Yadav, Dr. Anjali Nauriyal, Satish Sharma, Joint Director Information and Joint Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council Dr. Nitin Upadhyay were present.
