Governor, CM flagged off Hemkund Gurdwara pilgrims

Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmit Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed the first ‘Jattha’ of Hemkund Sahib pilgrims and flagged them off on 17 May. The Yatra to Hemkund Sahib will formally begin with the opening of the portals of the Gurdwara on 20 May. The first batch ‘Jattha’ of 250 Sikh pilgrims left for Govind Ghat from the Gurdwara located on Laxman Jhula Road, Rishikesh. The portals of Lokpal Laxman Temple located near the Gurdwara will also open on the same day.

The Governor and CM offered Ardas along with the devotees at the Gurdwara. Deovtees from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan are included in the first Jattha for the Hemkund Sahib Yatra. The Governor, CM extended best wishes to all the devotees going on the Hemkumd Yatra.
