CM Dhami Expresses Gratitude, Says Centre Extending Full Support in Rehabilitation Efforts
Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived at Jolly Grant Airport to review the extensive damage caused by recent natural disasters in Uttarakhand. During his visit, the Prime Minister held an in-depth review meeting with Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, Members of Parliament, and senior state officials.
The Prime Minister assessed the scale of destruction, the progress of ongoing relief operations and discussed future challenges. He lauded the efforts of NDRF, SDRF and state government departments actively engaged in rescue and relief missions across affected areas including Dharali and Tharali. PM Modi also interacted with personnel involved in ground operations, appreciating their dedication and listening to their field experiences.
In addition, the Prime Minister met disaster-affected families, offering them comfort and assuring them of comprehensive assistance. He emphasized that both the central and state governments stand firmly with every family impacted by this calamity.
CM’s Briefing
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented a detailed report on the damage caused by the disaster and the relief operations being carried out. He highlighted that with the proactive support of central agencies, relief could be delivered promptly to the affected regions. The CM further noted that roads and public infrastructure have suffered severe damage, and restoration work is being carried out on a war footing.

The review meeting was attended by BJP State President and MP Mahendra Bhatt, MPs Ajay Bhatt, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Anil Baluni, Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah, Naresh Bansal, Kalpana Saini, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan and Director General of Police Deepam Seth, among others.
