Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while chairing a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday, directed officials to complete preparations for the proposed ₹1 lakh crore Grounding Ceremony in Rudrapur within the stipulated timeframe. The Chief Minister emphasized that the event should be organized in a grand and impressive manner to give a new impetus and identity to the state’s industrial growth.
Chief Minister Dhami informed that Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. He said this mega event would chart a new course for the industrial future of Uttarakhand and open extensive employment avenues for the state’s youth.
Highlighting the success of the Global Investors Summit held in 2023, the Chief Minister stated that the state had received investment proposals worth ₹3.5 lakh crore, out of which projects amounting to ₹1 lakh crore have already been grounded. This reflects the growing confidence of investors in Uttarakhand’s industrial ecosystem.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure all arrangements related to the event are made diligently and with close coordination so that Uttarakhand’s positive image and investor-friendly environment can be showcased effectively at the national and international level. He added that this ceremony will also encourage local entrepreneurship and open new doors to the state’s economic prosperity.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretaries R.K. Sudhanshu and R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretaries Shailesh Bagauli and Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, Managing Director of Industries Saurabh Gaharwar, and other senior officials.
