Dehradun. As per the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and under the aegis of the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital, the District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun will organize a Special Lok Adalat on 02 August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Dehradun.
During this special Lok Adalat, pending cases before the Tribunal will be resolved on the basis of amicable settlement and compromise. Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Seema Dungarakoti informed that the Debt Recovery Tribunal provides a speedy and judicial mechanism for the recovery of dues by banks and financial institutions. Through this special Lok Adalat, outstanding loan matters can be settled promptly, avoiding expensive court fees and enabling mutual resolution of disputes, which is beneficial for both creditors and borrowers.
Plaintiffs and defendants, who wish to settle their cases through compromise in this special Lok Adalat may submit their applications in person or through their advocates at the Debt Recovery Tribunal, Dehradun on any working day by 01 August 2025, and avail the benefits of early settlement.
