State Foundation Day programs to be celebrated with simplicity: CM’s big announcement in view of Marchula bus accident.

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State Foundation Day programs will be celebrated with simplicity. The Chief Minister has taken this decision due to the bus accident in Marchula on Monday. While meeting with the officials in the Secretariat, the Chief Minister directed that it should be assessed where there is a need to run additional buses in the hilly areas. Arrangements should be made in those areas by purchasing new vehicles as per the requirement. In view of the festivals, arrangements should be made in areas where there seems to be a need to arrange additional buses. It should be ensured that such incidents do not recur. The Chief Minister had already directed that crash barriers should be installed on the roads for safety. He directed that the officers who are negligent in this work should be called to account.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government will take the responsibility of care and education of Shivani, who lost her parents in the bus accident, so that she can move ahead in life and fulfill her and her parents’ dreams. The Chief Minister said that the responsibility of the concerned outpost in-charges should also be fixed in the vehicle accident and action should be taken against them.

The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of State Formation Day, all the cultural programs proposed on 08 November will be postponed and programs of service and cleanliness will be organized across the state. Cultural programs will not be organized even during the big functions, inauguration and foundation stone laying programs organized under the State Foundation Day.

Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari were present on this occasion.
