CM Dhami Vows to Crush Copying Mafia, Assures Youth of Fair Recruitment in Uttarakhand
Dehradun: Amid rising protests by youth organisations over the alleged UKSSSC paper leak, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to eradicate the menace of the copying mafia in Uttarakhand.
Addressing an important organisational meeting of the BJP in Dehradun—convened to discuss preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections—Dhami declared that the state would not rest until the “cheating mafia” is completely dismantled. He also used strong words, stressing that no force would be allowed to weaken the credibility of recruitment processes.
On Tuesday evening, office bearers of one faction of the Berozgar Sangathan had met the Chief Minister to submit their demands. Dhami assured them of prompt and appropriate action, reiterating his stance that the interests of the state’s youth will not be compromised.
Highlighting steps already taken, Dhami said that the government has enacted a stringent anti-copying law, which has paved the way for transparent recruitment to nearly 25,000 posts in the state. He acknowledged, however, that certain vested interests remain dissatisfied with these reforms and are attempting to create unrest.
“The government will not tolerate any attempts to sabotage fair recruitment. The copying mafia will be crushed and buried. We are determined to ensure that merit prevails and opportunities reach deserving candidates,” Dhami told party leaders and workers at the meeting.
With the Opposition and youth groups pressing for accountability, Dhami’s assertive statements are seen as an attempt to reassure the public that the government stands firm against corruption in recruitment and is committed to securing the future of Uttarakhand’s youth.
