Breaking protocol, Reaches Out to Disaster Victims in Tharali

Tharali: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday conducted an on-ground inspection of disaster-affected areas in Tharali. Breaking protocol, he halted his convoy to meet directly with affected families and listen to their concerns.

During the interaction, villagers urged the Chief Minister to expedite the reopening of roads leading to the upper villages. Assuring them, CM Dhami said that the restoration work was being carried out on a war footing and that once the route is safe, he himself would visit the villages to review the situation with the locals.

It is noteworthy that during the Dharali disaster as well, CM Dhami had stayed in the affected region for three consecutive days, personally monitoring every relief and rescue operation.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, the Chief Minister stated that the Uttarakhand government stands firmly with every affected family and is making all possible efforts to ensure timely relief and assistance reaches every village.
