UTTARAKHAND NEWS: Chief Secretary Directs Departments to Implement E-Office System

DEHRADUN: A meeting of the Secretary Committee was held at the Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the session, Bardhan instructed all departmental secretaries to ensure the implementation of the e-office system in their respective departments and districts to streamline administrative processes.

Commending the exemplary performance of Pauri district in adopting e-office, the Chief Secretary urged other districts—especially Dehradun, Nainital, and Haridwar—to expedite the transition to the digital platform. He stressed that e-office adoption would improve efficiency and transparency in government functioning.

Bardhan also emphasized the need for better coordination between the government and directorates through the e-office system. Additionally, he directed all departments to update their websites in line with the new format developed by the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA).

To address challenges faced by staff in using the e-office system and updating departmental websites, Bardhan instructed the IT Department to extend technical support and conduct training sessions for departmental personnel.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Special Chief Secretary Amit Sinha, and Secretaries L. Fanai, Shailesh Bagoli, Nitesh Kumar Jha, Radhika Jha, Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam, Ravinath Raman, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Neeraj Khairwal, Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary, Vinod Kumar Suman, Ranveer Singh Chauhan, and other senior officials.
