Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honoured SDRF personnel from the state on returning from Mahakumbh duty in Prayagraj.
DEHRADUN: “The experiences gained in Prayagraj Mahakumbh will be invaluable for the upcoming Haridwar Kumbh. The SDRF team has enhanced the prestige of Uttarakhand by efficiently demonstrating its efficiency in the Mahakumbh.”
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said this at the Mahakumbh Prayagraj 2025 Abhinandan Program, organized at the CM residence on the return of 112 SDRF personnel. On this occasion, he also presented a reward of Rs 5 lakh cheque to the SDRF team.
The Chief Minister congratulated the SDRF team for providing better services in Mahakumbh Prayagraj. Speaking on the occasion, the CM emphasised that the experience gained in Prayagraj Mahakumbh will be invaluable for the upcoming Kumbh of Haridwar in 2027. It will also help in organizing the Kumbh in a grand manner. This Mahakumbh has boosted the confidence of our jawans and they will be successful in efficiently managing the crowd, he added. He also praised the SDRF team for enhancing Uttarakhand’s prestige with the efficient service at Mahakumbh, Prayagraj and expressed confidence in their abilities to ensure smooth crowd management in future events.
CM Dhami noted that handling the challenge of the Mahasangam of Sanatan Dharma was a challenging task. Better arrangements and management have raised the head of the UP as well as the Uttarakhand government. This experience will prove helpful in the successful organization of Kumbh of Haridwar in 2027. He said that government effort is to have a well-planned parking system for vehicles, for which efforts are underway.
He stated that the state of Uttarakhand is a sensitive state in terms of various geographical conditions and disaster. Commendable work has been done by SDRF to overcome these challenges. SDRF has played an important role in the best disaster management. Quick response and state-of-the-art equipment for disaster management have helped a lot in reducing the impact of disaster in the state.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman State Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Rohila, Secretary Home Shailesh Bagoli, DGP Deepam Seth, ADG Amit Sinha, V Murugeshan, A. P Anshuman, Secretary Disaster Management Vinod Kumar Suman, IG SDRF Riddhim Aggarwal, Commandant SDRF Arpan Yadav and SDRF officers and jawans were present.
