CM Dhami inaugurated the 5-day Veer Shiromani Madho Singh Bhandari State Industrial Agriculture Development Fair. The CM announced several projects for development of the region.

Tehri Garhwal: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday inaugurated the 5-day State Industrial Agriculture Development Fair organized in the memory of Veer Shiromani Madho Singh Bhandari at Maletha Tehri Garhwal.
On this occasion,CM Dhami inspected the departmental stalls and saluted the march past rally taken out by various schools and NCC cadets. Earlier, the Chief Minister garlanded the statue of Veer Shiromani Madho Singh Bhandari at his memorial in Maletha and paid homage to him by observing the historical ‘Gul’ (irrigation canal) built by him.
CM Dhami, On this occasion made several announcements regarding development projects. The announcements included naming Maletha Chowk after Veer Shiromani Madho Singh Bhandari, expansion of fair site, construction of Primary Health Center Silkakhal, beautification of Surya Devi Temple Palethi Bangarh and improvement of local road infrastructure in area.
Remembering the contribution of Madho Singh Bhandari, CM Dhami stated his life exemplified the true meaning of valour, service and dedication. He commended the irrigation canal built by Bhandari in difficult and adverse circumstances for the prosperity of the region is still benefiting the people.
CM Dhami said that the state government is working in every field for the development of Uttarakhand and to improve the life of every person in education, road, health and other fields. In view of road safety in Tehri Garhwal district, 170 km. Crash barriers are being constructed. An 18 meter long Bailey bridge was built in place of the bridge washed away in the disaster in Muyalgaon. Tehri Lake Ring Road is being constructed. Self-employment is being promoted along with job creation to prevent migration, increase tourism, employment and trade. To empower women and farmers, farmers are being given loans up to Rs 3 lakh without interest.
The CM also mentioned the success of initiatives like ‘Lakhpati Didi’, which has empowered one lakh women in the state and the ‘House of Himalaya’ brand, which promotes local products globally. He stressed that the state government has made a strict anti-copy law, which has increased the confidence of talented youth and they are getting jobs according to their ability. The state government has done the work of providing more than 19,000 jobs.
In the fair public welfare schemes were promoted through departmental stalls by the departments of horticulture, animal husbandry, revenue, child development, medical, industry, agriculture, social welfare, tourism, rural development, panchayat raj etc. along with resolving public grievances. Tableaux based on Indian culture were displayed by various school children.
Local MLA Vinod Kandhari welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival and presented a memorandum related to the development of the area.
On this occasion, outgoing District Panchayat President/Administrator Sona Sajwan, District President BJP Rajesh Nautiyal, President Municipal Council Devprayag Mamta Devi, SSP Ayush Aggarwal, ASP J.R. Joshi, DGM RVNL Rajesh Arora along with other dignitaries and regional people were present.
