DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the 16th Finance Commission, led by its Chairman Dr. Arvind Panagariya, during their visit to Uttarakhand. The reception took place at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday.
The visiting delegation included Commission members Annie George Mathew, Manoj Panda, and Soumya Kanti Ghosh, along with Commission Secretary Ritwik Pandey, Joint Secretary KK Mishra, and Joint Director P. Amruthavarshini.
The state government will present its proposals to the Finance Commission during a scheduled meeting at the Secretariat on Monday, chaired by CM Dhami. Following this, the Commission will also hold discussions with representatives from municipal bodies, panchayats, and various political parties.
Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Finance Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, and other senior officials from the Finance Department were also present on the occasion.
