Helipad and road connectivity will be improved in Triyugi Narayan.
DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with officials in the Secretariat here on Monday, 10 March and directed to promote destination wedding in Uttarakhand. Along with improving road connectivity in Triyugi Narayan, he ordered the construction of a helipad there.
The Chief Minister directed that new places should be identified for destination wedding in the state and attention should be paid to their development. He emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged the countrymen to give priority to Uttarakhand for destination wedding.
Dhami stated that destination wedding will strengthen the economy of the state. The natural beauty and modern facilities of Uttarakhand will help in making it a major wedding destination. He directed the Tourism Department to prepare a guideline for “Destination Uttarakhand” soon.
Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Vice Chairman Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R. K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Sachin Kurve, Additional Director General of Police V. Murugeshan, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop were present in the meeting.
