UTTARAKHAND NEWS: Dhami flags off fleet of buses for cluster schools

DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a fleet of 15 buses to Uttarkashi district from his camp office on Tuesday. These buses will provide transport facility to the students of the cluster schools of the district.

On the occasion, Chief Minister stated that the availability of bus facility for school children will save time in commuting to school. This kind of innovation will facilitate children in studies. This commendable effort has been made keeping in mind the facilities of school children, he added.

To provide transport facility to the students in 15 cluster schoolscluster schools in the urban area of ​​​​Uttrakhand district, the District Magistrate Uttarkashi approved the purchase of 15 buses from the head of District Mineral Trust Foundation and Untied Fund. A total amount of Rs 03 crore was approved at the rate of 20 lakh per bus. The primary/upper primary schools for which this bus facility is being provided include 05 buses for development block Naugaon, 03 each for development block Bhatwadi and Dunda, 02 for development block Purola, whereas 01 bus each has been provided for development block Chinyalisaur and Mori.

On this occasion, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Bharat Chaudhary, Pramod Nainwal, Education Secretary Ravinath Raman, District Magistrate Uttarkashi Dr. M.S. Bisht, Director General of Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Director Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Sati, Director Basic Education Ajay Naudiyal, District Education Officer Uttarkashi Shailendra Amoli were present.
