Grand Shaurya Tiranga Yatra to Be Held in Dehradun on May 14 in Honor of Soldiers

DEHRADUN: To pay tribute to the valor and indomitable spirit of the Indian Armed Forces, a Grand Shaurya Tiranga Yatra will be organized in Dehradun on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 7:00 AM. The yatra will commence from Shaurya Sthal, Chid Bagh, and conclude at Shaheed Smarak, Gandhi Park, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

The event aims to promote national unity, integrity, and honor the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. In preparation for the yatra, Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah convened a coordination meeting with senior officials from various departments at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium on Tuesday. The meeting was held as per the directions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal.

During the meeting, Chief Development Officer instructed all officers to ensure timely and efficient arrangements for the successful execution of the Tiranga Yatra. He also appealed to the public to participate in large numbers to express their solidarity and respect for the armed forces.

Key officials present at the meeting included Additional District Magistrate Jai Bharat Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Hemant Kumar Verma, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Project Director Vikram Singh, DDO Sunil Kumar, CEO VK Dhodiyal, DSO KK Aggarwal, CVO Dr. Vidyadhar Kapadi, and other senior officers from line departments.

It is noteworthy that the Shaurya Tiranga Yatra, initially scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025, was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and will now take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
