Statewide Intensive Verification Drive Launched on DGP’s Directives
Strict Action Against Illegal Immigrants, Infiltrators & Suspicious Individuals
DEHRADUN: Under the directions of Uttarakhand Director General of Police Deepam Seth, the Uttarakhand Police has launched a statewide intensive verification campaign aimed at strengthening law and order and ensuring a fear-free environment for citizens.
The comprehensive drive will be conducted across all districts at the circle, police station, and outpost levels, with special teams constituted at each police station to ensure systematic implementation and accountability. A structured review mechanism has been established from the Circle Officer (CO) level to the IG Range level.
Focus on Illegal Immigrants & Suspicious Outsiders
As part of the campaign, authorities will identify and take strict legal action against:

Bangladeshi nationals residing unlawfully

Foreign nationals overstaying visas

Suspicious outsiders living without proper documentation
Action will be taken under relevant legal provisions against those found residing illegally or violating visa norms.

Special attention will be given to personnel associated with online and app-based services such as Amazon, Zomato, Blinkit, and other digital platforms.
Property Dealers & Rental Contracts Under Scrutiny
Property dealers, brokers, and real estate agents will undergo verification. Rental agreements facilitated through them will be examined thoroughly. Strict action will be initiated against landlords or agents who rent properties without mandatory police verification or knowingly harbor suspicious individuals.
Use of Advanced Technology & Central Databases
Modern technological tools and national security databases will be utilized to strengthen the verification process. Data will be analyzed through platforms such as:

The campaign will prioritize the safety of:

Mandatory character verification of domestic helpers, caretakers, drivers, and support staff will be enforced. Security arrangements for vulnerable citizens will be reviewed and strengthened where required.
