UTTARAKHAND: Resolution of Public Problems is State Government’s Top Priority: Dhami

Dehradun – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat regarding his announcements and ongoing development works in the assembly constituencies falling under the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency.

He emphasized that the solution of public problems remains the top priority of the state government and directed officials to take MLAs’ concerns with utmost seriousness and ensure coordinated efforts for their speedy resolution.

The Chief Minister announced that he will personally review the progress of assembly-wise development schemes in every Lok Sabha constituency every three months. Additionally, regular reviews will also be conducted at the Chief Secretary level. He instructed departmental secretaries to monitor the progress of schemes within their departments and ensure prompt actions.

Highlighting the need for continuous dialogue, the Chief Minister urged officials to maintain regular communication with MLAs. He informed that Additional Secretary-level officers will be appointed as nodal officers to facilitate the implementation of announcements and development works across all 70 assembly constituencies.

Chief Minister Dhami instructed officials to expedite all construction activities immediately after the monsoon season and to ensure timely completion through regular monitoring. MLAs were requested to submit proposals for short, medium, and long-term development works without delay.

MLAs raised several public concerns, including road construction and widening, health infrastructure, waterlogging, irrigation, sewerage and drainage systems, embankment construction, and beautification of key areas. The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to act promptly on all raised issues.

It was informed during the meeting that 305 out of 469 announcements made by the Chief Minister under the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency have been completed, while work is ongoing on the remaining.

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan instructed all secretaries and district magistrates to take immediate action on the issues raised by MLAs. He also directed divisional commissioners to ensure coordination among MLAs, department heads, and DMs for effective problem-solving.

The meeting saw participation from Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and MLAs Khajan Das, Kishore Upadhyay, Pritam Singh Panwar, Suresh Singh Chauhan, Shakti Lal Shah, Sahdev Pundir, Savita Kapoor, Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, and Durgeshwar Lal, along with Vice President of Establishment Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, senior secretaries, department heads, district magistrates, and other officials. Many attendees joined through the virtual medium.
