Youth Protest at Parade Ground over UKSSSC Paper Leak

Dehradun– The Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangh (UBS) along with hundreds of unemployed youth staged a massive protest on Monday in Dehradun against the alleged paper leak in the graduate-level recruitment examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).

Despite prohibitory orders issued by the district administration, scores of students and activists gathered at Parade Ground, raising slogans and demanding strict action against those responsible for the irregularities. The protestors alleged that the sanctity of the recruitment process has once again been compromised, shattering the hopes of thousands of aspirants who appeared for the examination held on Sunday.

The agitators later attempted to march towards the State Secretariat to press their demands. However, they were stopped midway by a heavy police deployment, following which they staged a sit-in protest.

Addressing the demonstrators, UBS patron and Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha president Bobby Panwar strongly criticised the state government, demanding that the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He asserted that only a CBI probe could ensure a fair and impartial investigation into the alleged scam.

“This issue is directly linked to the future of our youth. If the recruitment process itself is tainted, how will unemployed youngsters trust the system? We are prepared for a long struggle until justice is ensured,” Panwar declared.
