Dehradun | July 17, 2026
The Dehradun district administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the mysterious death of Parupudi Radha Gayatri at ‘The Kiyana’ Homestay in Mussoorie.
District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan has appointed Mussoorie Joint Magistrate Rahul Anand as the inquiry officer to conduct a fair, transparent, and comprehensive investigation into the case.
According to Joint Magistrate Rahul Anand, an FIR has already been registered at Mussoorie Police Station regarding the incident. He stated that since the post-mortem examination did not conclusively determine the exact cause of death, a detailed magisterial inquiry has been initiated to examine every aspect of the case.
The inquiry will assess all available evidence, witness statements, and relevant circumstances to ascertain the actual cause of the woman’s death.
The inquiry officer has appealed to the public that anyone possessing information, documents, or evidence related to the incident should submit their oral or written statements before the inquiry office within the stipulated time. Public cooperation, he said, would help ensure a fair and fact-based investigation.
