CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Meets Young Mount Kilimanjaro Climbers, Applauds Their Remarkable Achievement

Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday met two young mountaineers from Uttarakhand who recently achieved a remarkable feat by successfully climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The Chief Minister met 9-year-old Riyansh Pant from Almora and 10-year-old Prisha Rawat from Nainital at the Chief Minister’s residence and congratulated them on their achievement.
Congratulating the young climbers, CM Dhami said that successfully scaling a challenging peak like Mount Kilimanjaro at such a young age reflects their courage, determination, self-confidence and strong willpower. He said that the two children have brought pride to Uttarakhand through their achievement.
Riyansh Pant, aged nine, is a resident of Chinakhan in Almora district, while 10-year-old Prisha Rawat belongs to Bailpadav in Nainital district. The two young mountaineers successfully climbed the 5,895-metre-high Mount Kilimanjaro on August 22, 2026, and proudly hoisted the Indian Tricolour at the summit.
The Chief Minister said that the achievement of Riyansh and Prisha would inspire other children and young people in Uttarakhand to set ambitious goals and work with determination to achieve them.
He further said that children and youth in Uttarakhand possess immense talent, courage and potential. Young people from the state are making their mark at the national and international levels through their achievements in mountaineering, sports and other adventure activities.
CM Dhami said the state government is continuously working to encourage young talent and provide them with better opportunities to develop their abilities and pursue their aspirations.
He expressed confidence that the two young mountaineers would continue to scale new heights and inspire many more children and youngsters through their achievements.
