Devotees coming to winter abose sites will receive a 10 percent discount in rent in GMVN hotels.
DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, directed the officials to start the Yatra for the winter abode temples related to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham and also promote it on a wide scale. He also announced that the devotees visiting these winter abode sites will receive a 10 per cent discount in rent while staying in Garhwal Mandal Development Nigam hotels. The CM will also review the travel arrangements for these winter stays next week.
CM Dhami instructed all departments concerned to work on short-term and long-term plans for the action plan of Strong Uttarakhand in the silver jubilee year of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that the state government is making continuous efforts to take the state ahead in line with the expectations and hopes of the people who played an important role in the formation of Uttarakhand. Dhami claimed that with the cooperation of the people of the state, the state government is working rapidly in all areas to bring Uttarakhand in the category of leading states in every field.
The CM directed the officials to prepare a Road Accident Safety Manual soon to prevent road accidents. He instructed the Director General of Police (DGP) to increase night patrolling and increase the police force on the roads in view of road safety.
To make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand a drug free state by 2025, the CM directed all the concerned departments to run an intensive campaign. He asked to keep regular monitoring on those selling narcotics and take strict action against those found involved in it. He also sought regular verification of outsiders living on rent in the state
CM Dhami said that he would soon visit the districts and stay overnight. During this, he would inspect the development works and hold public hearings. He would also inspect various arrangements and cleanliness works in municipal bodies and government offices. For this, he has given instructions to issue a roster.
Principal Secretary R. K Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P Anshuman and Vice President MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
