Governor, CM extended Republic Day greetings, felicitated officers who performed exceptionally well.
DEHRADUN: Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) unfurled the national flag at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Republic Day and congratulated the people of the state. Speaking to the media on this occasion, the Governor said that we have set a target to make India a developed nation by 2047, the centenary year of independence. We are moving rapidly in this direction. Uttarakhand is also contributing immensely in the development journey of the country. With the efforts of the state government and the hard work of the people of the state, we are not only touching new dimensions of economic and social development but are also moving rapidly towards becoming one of the leading states of the country.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unfurled the national flag at the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of Republic Day. On this occasion, he also administered the oath of the Preamble of the Constitution to everyone.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is being done for the upliftment of every section of the society. He mentioned that for a strong, prosperous and developed India, we all have to discharge our responsibilities. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government is working rapidly in every field for the overall development of the state, he added.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Republic Day, Governor unfurled the national flag and took the salute took the salute of the grand parade at the main function held at the Parade Ground on Sunday, 26 January.
In the program, Governor and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami felicitated the police officers by awarding them medals for commendable services.
