Uttarakhand receives Rs 4,641 crore in Railway Budget, Dhami praises allocation

DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand received Rs 4,641 crore in the Railway budget 2025-26.

During a video Press conference on Monday, Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for allocating Rs 2.52 lakh crore to the country’s railway sector in the 2025-26 budget. Vaishnaw shared that an amount of Rs 4,641 crores has been allocated to Uttarakhand out of the total budget allocation to the Railway and claimed Uttarakhand will benefit from the budget allocation for various rail projects in the state. 

CM Dhami praised Railway budget allocation for Uttarakhand 

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the allocation under the railway budget for Uttarakhand.  He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for this. In a post on his social media accounts, CM Dhami stated that the budget allocated for the expansion of the rail network in Uttarakhand in the Union Budget for FY 2025-26 will prove to be a milestone in the field of railway connectivity in the state. This time, the allocated budget is also special because it is 2,382 percent more than the budget allocated in 2009-14.

CM Dhami mentioned that better rail connectivity would not only benefit the people of the state but would also open new avenues of tourism and pilgrimage for crores of tourists coming from the country and abroad.  He remarked that this time the budget would bring positive changes in the economic and social conditions of Uttarakhand. He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of all the people of the state.
