KHATIMA: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a mass marriage event on the occasion of Mahashivratri at Gauri Shankar Mahadev Temple, Brahma Colony and RP Public School, Melghat Road in Khatima on Wednesday. On this occasion he blessed and congratulated the newly married couples and wished them a happy married life. During this, a total of 50 couples got married at both the places.
Wishing the newly married couples a happy married life, CM Dhami stated that Kanyadan has been termed as Mahadaan in our society and culture. He felt fortunate to attend the marriage as a guardian. He noted that Khatima is a garden where people of all communities live with love. It seems like a miniature India, this mass marriage is also an example of this feeling.
Dhami mentioned that daughters brighten two homes. The nation is strengthened by the empowerment of daughters. He reminded that the state government is working for girl child and women empowerment. The state government has provided 30% horizontal reservation to women in all jobs, promoting women’s participation in the state.
The CM emphasised that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the 38th National Games were successfully organized in the state. He claimed that organization of these games is getting praise from all sides. He thanked the Prime Minister for this. He further claimed that in the medal table in the National Games, we have come from 25th position to 7th position. In which daughters have made us proud by winning more medals.
During this, CM Dhami’s wife, Geeta Dhami, Municipal Council President Ramesh Chandra Joshi, former MLA Prem Singh Rana, District President Kamal Jindal, Ganesh Joshi, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, SSP Manikant Mishra and others were present.
