Uttarkashi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers on Thursday at the winter seat of River Ganga in Mukhwa village of Uttarkashi district. PM Modi reached the temple performed rituals. After worshipping, the Prime Minister also offered Bhog as per rituals and sought blessings from Goddess Ganga. On the occasion, the local villagers welcomed the Prime Minister with Ranson dance.
Following his darshan at Mukhimath Temple, the PM gazed at the magnificent Himalayas from Mukhwa village itself. The Prime Minister kept admiring the beauty of the snow-capped peaks as well as the Bhagirathi river flowing from the Harshil valley from the view point for a long time.
After this, the PM reached the Harshil program venue by road. Where he first observed the exhibition based on winter travel in Uttarakhand. The major winter tourist places of Uttarakhand were shown in this exhibition. Following this, the PM flagged off the trekking and bike rally.
This visit of the Prime Minister is being considered extremely important in the direction of establishing Mukhimath (Mukhva) on the global tourism map and strengthening the cultural and religious heritage of the state
