DEHRADUN: A grand “Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra” was organized today, beginning from Shaurya Sthal Cheedbagh and culminating at Gandhi Park, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The event was held to commemorate the recent and historic success of “Operation Sindoor,” carried out by the Indian Armed Forces. Thousands of citizens, including ex-servicemen, youth, and women, enthusiastically participated in the patriotic march, proudly carrying the tricolor.
Chief Minister Dhami paid floral tributes at Shaurya Sthal to honor the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice. Speaking at the event, he saluted the courage and dedication of the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy, and all security personnel involved in Operation Sindoor.
He emphasized that the operation was a clear testament to India’s resolve and strength in combating terrorism, stating, “Through Operation Sindoor, India has demonstrated its determination to respond firmly to any act of terror. The new India speaks the language of strength, and our brave forces have shown that we are capable of decisive action.”
Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said India is now equipped to respond effectively to any threat and is safeguarding its borders with cutting-edge indigenous technology. He further highlighted Uttarakhand’s deep-rooted legacy of valor, noting that nearly every household in the state is connected to national service.
Encouraging the youth to draw inspiration from the discipline and sacrifice of the armed forces, the Chief Minister proposed making the “Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra” an annual event to honor the valor displayed in Operation Sindoor.
The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Soldier Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, MLAs Khajan Das, Umesh Sharma Kau, Brij Bhushan Gairola, Bharat Chaudhary, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, former Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay, BJP State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, Metropolitan President Siddharth Agarwal, Rajni Rawat, Dr. Devendra Bhasin, and Shyam Agarwal.
