UTTARAKHAND NEWS: CS Reviews Preparations for 16th Finance Commission’s Visit to Uttarakhand
DEHRADUN: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday to assess the preparations for the upcoming visit of the 16th Finance Commission to Uttarakhand.
Bardhan emphasized the need for seamless arrangements from the Commission’s arrival to its departure. He instructed officials to ensure that all protocol requirements, including the appointment of liaison officers and logistical arrangements, are thoroughly addressed.
The Chief Secretary stressed that proposed meetings and press interactions in Dehradun and Nainital be well-organized. He also directed that key points to be presented to the Commission should be prepared with clarity and a focused approach.
In light of the Commission’s scheduled visit to Badrinath and Kedarnath, Bardhan directed that contingency plans be put in place in case of inclement weather.
The meeting was attended by senior officials and department heads, including Secretary Dilip Jawalkar.
