UTTARAKHAND NEWS: CM Dhami Unveils 18 Development Projects Worth ₹11,365.11 Lakh in Champawat, Leads Tiranga Shaurya Yatra

Tanakpur, Champawat: In a significant boost to the development of Champawat district, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 18 development schemes with a combined value of ₹11,365.11 lakh. The event was held at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Tanakpur.

Of the total projects, 13 schemes amounting to ₹4,786.25 lakh were inaugurated, while the foundation stones for 5 new schemes worth ₹6,578.86 lakh were laid. These initiatives span vital sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, water supply, road development, and public amenities.

Key Development Projects:

Construction of multi-storey parking facility in Tanakpur – ₹498.25 lakh (Tourism Department)

Beautification of Sipti Waterfall and Gul Construction – ₹78.20 lakh

Establishment of Himadri Emporium Centre, Champawat Nagar – ₹130.56 lakh

Heart Market Craft Centre at Shyamlatal – ₹90.28 lakh

Bagdorakhas and Nayal Pumping Drinking Water Schemes – ₹157.08 lakh

Improvement of internal connecting roads in Tanakpur – ₹57.77 lakh

Reconstruction of Sukhidhang-Danda-Minar Motorway – ₹2,090.37 lakh

Asphalting of road and footpath to Purnagiri Temple – ₹605.68 lakh

Construction of residential and non-residential buildings within prison premises – ₹5,567.77 lakh

Construction of Panchmukhi Gaushala in Tanakpur – ₹146.86 lakh

Public Interaction and Administrative Focus:

During the program, CM Dhami engaged with senior citizens and local intellectuals, actively listening to their concerns. He directed officials to ensure prompt and effective resolution of public grievances and emphasized the importance of including the experiences of elders in policy formulation.

“Service to the public is our foremost duty. Simplification, solution, and settlement—this is the core mantra of our government,” said the Chief Minister.

Tiranga Shaurya Yatra and Operation Sindoor:

CM Dhami also led the Tiranga Shaurya Yatra, which commenced from the Tanakpur Camp Office and proceeded to Pilibhit Chungi. The yatra celebrated the success of Operation Sindoor, a recent operation that has ignited a wave of patriotic fervor across the state.

“Operation Sindoor has made the entire nation proud. Our message is loud and clear—terrorists will no longer be spared. Almost every household in Uttarakhand has a member in the armed forces. Our unity is our strength,” Dhami stated.

The event saw the presence of several notable figures, including Minister of State Shyam Narayan Pandey, BJP District President Govind Samant, MLA representative Prakash Tiwari, Municipal Council President Vipin Kumar, District Magistrate Navneet Pandey, Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, and a large gathering of public representatives, officials, intellectuals, and citizens.
