Dehradun, July 11: District Magistrate Savin Bansal emphasized that the issue is not merely about animal cruelty, but about human compassion as well. Chairing the meeting of the District Animal Cruelty Prevention Committee at Rishiparna Auditorium, he issued several strict directives aimed at protecting animals and ensuring welfare.

Immediate relief for injured animals:

The DM approved two dedicated vehicles on the spot for transporting and treating injured or sick animals.

He also directed that manpower from PRD be deployed to operate and maintain these vehicles.
