UTTARKASHI: PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah Express Deep Grief over Dharali Disaster

UTTARKASHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed profound sorrow over the devastating disaster in Dharali, Uttarkashi. Taking to his social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote:

“I express my condolences to all those affected by the tragedy in Dharali, Uttarkashi. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. I have spoken to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami ji to take stock of the situation. Relief and rescue operations are underway under the supervision of the state government, and every possible effort is being made to assist the affected. No stone is being left unturned to ensure help reaches those in need.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his deep grief over the tragic cloudburst incident in Dharali village, Uttarkashi district. Expressing condolences for the loss of lives and damage to property, he extended his heartfelt sympathies to the affected families.

Amit Shah held a telephonic conversation with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during which he received a detailed update on the situation and assured the state government of full central support.

In view of the severity of the disaster, the Home Minister has instructed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other central relief agencies to act swiftly and efficiently.

The Home Minister is in constant touch with the state government, and the Centre is ensuring immediate and necessary assistance for the affected region.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has postponed his scheduled tour and rushed to Dehradun to oversee the situation and coordinate relief efforts.
