Uttarakhand: CM Holds High-Level Meeting on Security, Infrastructure & Public Welfare

CM Dhami Reviews Law & Order, Road Conditions and Seva Pakhwada Preparations in High-Level Meeting

Dehradun, Wednesday – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat to review the state’s law and order situation, road conditions, Seva Pakhwada preparations, and other key public welfare initiatives.

Emphasizing the government’s top priority, CM Dhami directed officials to ensure a smooth, safe, and transparent administrative system for the people of Uttarakhand. He issued strict instructions to take firm action against anyone disrupting law and order.

To strengthen public safety, the Chief Minister ordered:

👉🏻 Regular monitoring through CCTV cameras at all sensitive locations.

👉🏻 Intensive checking campaigns at state borders.

👉🏻 Enhanced night patrolling to improve security and prevent criminal activities.

Focusing on infrastructure, CM Dhami directed that a special statewide campaign be launched to make all roads pothole-free after the monsoon season. He instructed departments to complete the tender process immediately so that repair and improvement works can begin without delay.

Discussing the upcoming Seva Pakhwada, the Chief Minister announced that it will be organized from September 17 (Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday) to October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) across all districts. The fortnight will feature programs dedicated to service, public awareness and welfare activities. CM Dhami instructed officials to prepare detailed district-wise action plans and ensure timely execution. He also stated that he will personally visit various districts by road to review arrangements on the ground.

Addressing consumer safety, CM Dhami took serious note of complaints regarding sand-mixed salt in the market. He ordered immediate sampling and investigation, assuring that strict punitive action will be taken against anyone found guilty.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to CM, Chief Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Director General of Police Deepam Seth, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari.
